Being an Asian American reader of the Bible means the reader is to read the Bible through his or her Asian American-ness. Then, what is Asian Americanness? To identify one’s own Asian American social location(s), it is essential to be attentive to his or her contextual matters. Thus, the practice of Asian American reading begins with contextual attention.
