   Hi Wenxin! This is a super interesting project and I’ve enjoyed reading your analysis of each genre and image.

   I found Drama #3 really interesting– despite the warm lighting, it almost looks like a scene out of a horror movie. Clearly, the AI couldn’t follow the negative prompts. Not only did it include the dining table and food/drink, but it made them central to the image. While playing with some image generators for my project, I noticed a number of them had “negative prompt” sections of what the image shouldn’t include. I’m curious as to whether this ‘misunderstanding’ arose from Chat GPT lacks a negative prompt feature for image generation, or just cannot detect the negative in the text.

   Additionally, I was intrigued by the last image set for the horror genre. I am curious as to whether the image of the Asian children was made because you had requested racial diversity in the past prompts, or because of the general popularity of Asian horror movies in western countries, and how they may have been more prominent in the training data. The first image in the series, for example, reminded me a lot of The Ring, but given how much it leaned into the stylization of the genre, I could not analyze the girl very realistically.

      Thanks for the comment, I really appreciate it!

      I actually was going to include 10 genres. I did generate pictures for all of them, but I left out fantasy and animation, because those two I did not really know how to analyze lol. I also did not put crime genre in the project.

      Wow, thanks for mentioning “negative prompt”, I did not think of that when I was analyzing the pictures. Maybe it was the negativity thing that this software sometimes has trouble following.

      I was wondering the same thing about the horror picture. Sometimes when I only write one prompt, ChatGPT gives two similar pictures. And I also thought about the Asian horror film thing, but I was not really sure what AI’s intentions were.
