My name is Amber Churchwell. I am a PhD Candidate at Emory University. My research focuses on purposeful teenage pregnancy in the rural southern United States. My current work is exploring how the process of the social construction of teenage pregnancy is rooted in anti-Blackness using data from congressional meetings and academic publications over the last 70 years.
