Sit down is an impossibility with my director who stares intently and smiles widely with the energy of forty-four 100 meter dash runners just before the start gun sounds. He’s gone already.
Set up for a new race — why bother telling me where it started? — I’m arriving several years later, dragging a faded rose colored shred of silk that used to be somehow somewhere a garment in a dressing room one hundred years ago on the first floor of a Manhattan art deco building with a migrating family mural on the eastern side.
