The people of flow and god, who imagined themselves to be between dog and wolf, burned through the floor and silver with cries of becoming and melting. Their love for each other, almost inseparable beings, supportive, in a pack, shifted to revulsion as I blinked. A crumb of fear and doubt bloomed like mold into a blanket of trepidation. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The pack leader \u2014 or were there 2 or 3, in various shades and tones, and times? \u2014 was earnest and brave. Feral edges and urgent pacing interrupted, no — pushed against — my devotion for them. I willed to not close the space of connection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The people of flow and god, who let me live among them, never wanted to start or stop. Me too as I learned that my walking across the floor, choreographed to my notebook, and a pen keeping rhythm with studio rehearsals and ocean strolls 2,139 miles away, would only be walking in my mind, or through an unpopulated and crowded theater, as if I could read my field notes in any dimension shifting to visibility somewhere, or not.
