Whistle and Lanyard

Picture of whistle and lanyard

The whistle is attached to the lanyard and the hooks that connect them.

The object I was given is a whistle attached to a lanyard. A whistle is used to attract attention to yourself in some way.

The side of the whistle, with the word "MacGregor" inscribed

The company that made the whistle, MacGregor, has inscribed its name on the whistle’s side.

The fact that the name of the company that produced the whistle inscribed its name on the side of the whistle implies that this product is mass produced.

"Taiwan" inscribed on the side of the whistle and lanyard

Both products were produced in Taiwan.

Inscribed on the other side of the whistle and on the side of the lanyard is “Taiwan.” It can be concluded that both products were produced in Taiwan in a society where products such as these can be traded around the world.

A listing of the whistle for sale online

This listing of the whistle online is targeted towards individuals involved in sports.

As part of my analysis I mentioned that a common place to use a whistle is at a sports event. As one of my secondary sources, I included this listing of the whistle for sale online that targets individuals who are involved in sports.

The lanyard as it would be worn by a person

Traditionally, one would wear a lanyard around one’s neck.

The lanyard is an object that one would wear around one’s neck in the case that one were unable to carry it in one’s pockets, bags, or hands. A lanyard would be used in a society where one is constantly using one’s hands.
