At the beginning of summer session I traveled to Lawrence, Kansas to meet with Dr. A. Townsend Peterson, my outside committee member. The week-long trip was an intensive workshop into niche modeling and designing the analytical methods for my first dissertation aim assessing plague in California. Dr. Peterson and his lab were welcoming and incredibly skilled at spatial analysis. I hope to return again and learn more!
