Carolyn Clevenger, NP, DNP, a gerontological nurse practitioner, is Professor at the Nell Hodgson Woodruff School of Nursing at Emory University and a Fellow of the American Academy of Nursing. Her research focuses the geriatric nurse practitioner workforce, psychoeducation programs for dementia family caregivers, and new models of care. She is the Founder and Director of the Emory Integrated Memory Care practice, a nurse-led primary care practice for people living with dementia with both a clinic location and in select senior living communities. The new model of care has been recognized as a Patient-Centered Medical Home, an Age Friendly Health System, a Best Practice exemplar for patient- and family-centered care, and a Best Program for Caregiving.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Fayron Epps, PhD, RN, is a nurse with over 20 years of experience creating culturally relevant programs to reduce health disparities for underserved populations. She is a Professor and the Karen and Ronald Hermann Distinguished Chair in Caregiver Research at The University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio School of Nursing. Dr. Epps\u2019s research involves evidence-based practices for promoting quality of life for African Americans with dementia and their family caregivers and exploring how religious activities and spiritual connectedness can promote meaningful engagement among persons with dementia. Dr. Epps\u2019s goal is to place culturally tailored, evidence-based programs and interventions in the hands of those who need them.<\/p>\n<\/div>

Dr. Hepburn is a Professor in the Nell Hodgson Woodruff School of Nursing at Emory University and the Co-Director of the NIA-supported Emory Roybal Center for Dementia Caregiving Mastery. He and his colleagues developed and demonstrated the efficacy of the Savvy Caregiver Program, a \u201cshort course in caregiving\u201d designed to provide family caregivers with the knowledge, skills, and outlook needed to care effectively for persons living with dementia.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Mr. Blake is a Financial Forensic Specialist with the Georgia Department of Human Services (DHS) Division of Aging Services Forensic Special Initiatives Unit (FSIU) and a member of the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) Crimes Against the Disabled and Elderly (CADE) Task Force. Before joining DHS in 2010, Mr. Blake served with the DeKalb County Police Department and the DeKalb County District Attorney\u2019s Office as the chief investigator over the White-Collar Crime Unit. Mr. Blake is an ACFE Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), an NW3C Certified Economic Crimes Forensic Examiner (CECFE), and a State of Georgia POST Certified Instructor. He is a co-developer and principal instructor for the Certified At-Risk Adult Crime Tactics Specialist certification course (CACTS).<\/p>\n<\/div>

Dr. Kalisha Bonds Johnson is an assistant professor at Emory University\u2019s Nell Hodgson Woodruff School of Nursing in Atlanta, Georgia and a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner at Emory University\u2019s Integrated Memory Care, a primary care clinic tailored to the care of persons living with dementia and their families. She is also the Principal Investigator of the DECIDE Research Lab (www.decideresearch.com), which focuses on creating culturally tailored decision-making programs to improve the quality of life of families of Black American persons living with Alzheimer\u2019s disease and related dementias.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Mr. Fellows has over twenty-two years of experience in law enforcement, including uniform patrol, crime scene investigations, underwater search and recovery, honor guard, supervision, and criminal investigations, specializing in fraud-related crimes. In 2019, Mr. Fellows left law enforcement to further his knowledge in bank fraud investigations with Wells Fargo Bank. In 2022, Mr. Fellows joined the FSIU as a Financial Forensic Specialist. He is a Certified Fraud Examiner, POST-certified instructor, POST-certified law enforcement officer, POST-certified crime scene technician, and Certified At-Risk Adult Crime Tactics Specialist. Mr. Fellows is also a member of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, the International Association of Financial Crimes Investigators, and the International Association of Human Trafficking Investigators.<\/p>\n<\/div>

Laura Medders is a licensed clinical social worker who specializes in working with older adults. She received her MSW from the University of Alabama. Laura currently serves as the program director for Emory\u2019s Integrated Memory Care team, a primary care clinic for people living with dementia.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Kelley Napier is a partner at Georgia Estate & Elder Law in Atlanta. Kelley holds the Certified Elder Law Attorney (CELA) designation from the National Elder Law Foundation (NELF), the only organization approved by the American Bar Association to offer certification in elder law. She is a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, where she currently serves as the President of the Georgia Chapter. Kelley serves on the Parkinson\u2019s Foundation Georgia Chapter Advisory Board and the Friends of Benson board supporting the Dorothy Benson Senior Center. She also participates in the Georgia Association of Women Lawyers and the Stonewall Bar Association. She has been selected as a Super Lawyer Rising Star each year since 2020.<\/p>\n<\/div>

Dr. Turbow is a health services researcher focused on chronic disease, care fragmentation, health disparities, and health information technology in vulnerable populations, particularly older adults with cognitive impairment. She joined the faculty of the Division of General Internal Medicine at Grady Memorial Hospital\/Emory University School of Medicine upon completion of her residency in 2015. In 2020, she completed training in Public Health and General Preventive Medicine, also at Emory, joining the preventive medicine residency leadership as an Associate Program Director immediately thereafter. She has served as Program Director of Emory\u2019s Public Health and General Preventive Medicine Residency and Fellowship program since Fall 2023.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n
