Dr. Joel Bowman Receives the Alexander von Humboldt Award

Dr. Joel Bowman has been named as a recipient of the Alexander von Humboldt Research Award from the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation. This award, granted “in recognition of a researchers entire achievements”, highlights the profound impact of a researcher’s previous and future contributions to the field.

Research in the Bowman Lab utilizes theoretical and computational techniques to explore chemical reaction and vibrational dynamics of molecules, molecular clusters, and molecular solids and fluids.

The Humboldt award is the most recent of several honors that Dr. Bowman has received, including the Herschbach prize for Theoretical Chemistry in 2013. In addition, he was elected as a Fellow to both the American Association for the Advancement of Science and the American Physical Society and elected to the International Academy of Quantum Molecular Sciences.

Congratulations, Dr. Bowman!!
