Benjamin Wertz

Bio:

I’m a fifth year PhD student in the Davies lab. My research is focused on synthetic methodology development using dirhodium carbenes, understanding the relationship between the selectivity of the C-H insertion reaction and catalyst structure, and investigating a new series of cyclopropane catalysts that incorporate sp3-hybridized groups into the ligand design. I am currently considering a career in the pharmaceutical or agrochemical industries.
