Instructure will release features on Saturday January 16, 2021.
Here are the highlights for the January 16 release:
- The New RCE (Rich Content Editor) replaces the classic RCE in every course. Most teachers switched to the New RCE already when we activated the New RCE in academic courses starting in Summer 2020. Click here to read our RCE guide.
- Canvas ceases some notification types via push to mobile apps (notifications will still be available via email). Notification types that cease to allow push notification include: Grading Policies, Course content (except for availability dates), Files, Late Grading, Blueprint Sync, Discussion, Discussion Post, Added to Conversation, Conversations Created By Me, Appointment Signups, Group Memberships Update, Conferences Recording Ready, Administrative Notifications, Content Link Error, Global Announcements.
