The September Canvas production release occurs on Saturday September 18, 2021. There are no major changes. A couple things to highlight:
- Instructure announced plans in August to activate the notification badge for the Rich Content Editor’s Accessibility Checker for everyone in the September 18, 2021 production release. They since postponed activation for everyone until a TBD date. In Emory Canvas, teachers have access to a third-party Accessibility Check tool linked in the course navigation menu.
- A new feature preview is announced for the Outcomes tool. We have not requested that it be activated at this time.
- Following the September 15, 2021 code deploy, teachers see an ID noted parenthetically after student names in the assignment override Assign To field, but only if there are multiple students with identical names in the course.
