March 2025’s highlight is the addition of thread state & sort order options in Discussion threads’ settings.
After the Saturday, March 15, 2025 release, teachers, TAs, and designers can choose whether a discussion thread opens with replies expanded or collapsed (thread state) and whether oldest or newest replies are shown at the top (sort order). They can also lock these options to prevent students from choosing how to view the discussion. (At this time, students will not have access to these options when they create discussions.)
