My interest in public health, pharmacy, and fighting off disease has lead me to work together with protein folding team in the Dyer lab. My research focuses on figuring out dynamics and mechanisms of pH dependent influenza A hemagglutinin (HA) fusion peptide (FP) working together with transmembrane domain (TMD) to allow membrane fusion process, and hopefully hinder this propagation of the influenza virus. Specifically, I am working on mutated FP to see if such changes in sequences still allow fusion process to happen, which will fundamentally aid in understanding what region of fusion peptide is critical for fusion to happen.
Outside of the lab I LOVE eating, meditating, going on an adventure, swimming, and traveling!
