A Walk-Through of Manuel’s Tavern

We are excited to share a sneak-peek of a milestone in the Unpacking Manuel’s Tavern project. In the video below, you can follow along with a walkthrough of the Tavern, traveling between five high-definition 360º panoramas of the four main rooms. The final room, the main dining area, showcases a few of the interactive possibilities for incorporating research and annotation to enrich the story told through Manuel’s walls.

This tour will ultimately include audio, video, and other interactive elements that explore the history behind the various objects that fill the walls. When you visit the site, you will be visiting the history of Manuel’s Tavern, as told by the people who helped make that history.

This is, of course, just the beginning of what Unpacking Manuel’s Tavern will offer. We are currently processing ultra-high-definition gigapan photographs of the individual walls, and developing immersive, 3-dimensional explorations.
