Partnerships between the Emory Center for Digital Scholarship (ECDS) and the Emory Libraries are highlighted in the Atlanta Studies blog post, Keep the Count: Screening Stories of Chicago Steppin in Atlanta.

Anjulet Tucker, who is chief of operations in the Office of the President and holds a PhD in religion from the Laney Graduate School, discusses her recent documentary and a special library event about the spread of Chicago Steppin in Atlanta.

“My vision for the film and the program is that each would offer a window into the world of Chicago Steppin in just one of its popular outposts, Atlanta,” Tucker writes, “and that this peek into the community would compel others to look more closely at some of the dynamic sociological aspects of this dance and subculture.”
