About Us

Dr. Simona Muratore

Simona Muratore, Senior Lecturer in Italian (PhD in Italian Literature, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, 2006): Language & cultural acquisition; advanced grammar and composition; Italian art, film and literature; community-engaged learning partnerships; Italian migrant literature; social media and social transformation; the Slow Food Movement; sustainable food.Dr. Muratore is a graduate of the Università degli Studi di Firenze, where she earned a degree in pedagogy (Diploma di Laurea in Pegagogia, 1996). In 1997, Dr. Muratore started teaching Italian language, culture and art in her native city of Florence, Italy, and subsequently, at several private and public institutions throughout, Italy, Australia and the United States. In 2003, Dr. Muratore earned a master’s degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and, in 2006, a Phd in Romance Languages.

Fair Assistant: Angela Jiang

Angela Jiang, Emory University undergraduate business student double majoring in Interdisciplinary Studies: I’m interested in investigating gentrification in Atlanta, reforming the Atlanta Public Schools System via Emory’s Graduation Generation program, the nature of education between the public and private sector; theater, found object art, movement improvisation, Atlanta’s foodie scene, jazz, social entrepreneurship, accents, and of course, sustainable food.

As the 2017 Fair Assistant, it is my main goal to coordinate fair logistics between the vendor and Emory and to bring the very best of Atlanta’s sustainable food movement to the Emory community.
