The Department of Biology hosted a conference on active learning called the “National Conference to Advance POGIL Practice” (Process Oriented Guided Inquiry Learning) (NCAPP, https://www.pogil.org/ncapp2025) from June 22-25, 2025. Sixty-five university and high school educators from across the United States came to Atlanta to present their teaching approaches and educational research during workshops and poster sessions held during the conference. In addition, participants wrote and edited introductory biology classroom activities that will be available for instructors nation-wide.
