Recently featured by the Emory News Center as a timely, creative, and cool course, the class will be led by Lesser along with <a href=\"http:\/\/envs.emory.edu\/home\/people\/faculty\/kitron_uriel.html\">Uriel Kitron<\/a>, Goodrich C. White Professor and Chair of Environmental Sciences, and <a href=\"http:\/\/spanport.emory.edu\/home\/people\/faculty\/ana%20teixeira.html\">Ana Teixeira<\/a>, Director of the Portuguese Language Program and Lecturer in Portuguese, Spanish &amp; Portuguese. Guest lecturers will include <a href=\"http:\/\/history.emory.edu\/home\/people\/faculty\/rogers-thomas.html\">Thomas D. Rogers<\/a>, Director of Graduate Studies and Associate Professor of Modern Latin American History. Using the Bom Retiro neighborhood of S\u00e3o Paulo as a test case, students will analyze disease patterns and prevention within a historical perspective.
