Mellon Foundation has awarded Emory&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/digitalscholarship.emory.edu\/\">Center for Digital Scholarship<\/a> a $300,000 grant to support the updating and expansion of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.slavevoyages.org\/\">Voyages: The Transatlantic Slave Trade Database<\/a>. Robert W. Woodruff Emeritus Professor of History <a href=\"http:\/\/history.emory.edu\/home\/people\/faculty\/eltis-emeritus.html\">David Elits<\/a> and Professor of History <a href=\"http:\/\/history.emory.edu\/home\/people\/faculty\/tullos-allen.html\">Allen E. Tullos<\/a> are co-directors of the project. The funding will specifically fund the development of &#8220;People of the Atlantic Slave Trade\u201d (PAST), a new feature of the database and website focused on the biographies of historical figures linked to the slave trade.
