Kreklau completed her dissertation, entitled &#8220;&#8216;Eat as the King Eats&#8217;: Making the Middle Class through Food, Foodways, and Food Discourses in Nineteenth-Century Germany,&#8221; in 2018. The dissertation was advised by Drs. <a href=\"http:\/\/history.emory.edu\/home\/people\/faculty\/vick-brian.html\">Brian Vick<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/ila.emory.edu\/people\/faculty\/gilman-sander.html\">Sander Gilman<\/a>, and <a href=\"http:\/\/history.emory.edu\/home\/people\/faculty\/peterson-dawn.html\">Dawn Peterson<\/a>.
