In spring 2022, Prof. Astrid M. Eckert<\/a> published her book\u00a0West Germany and the Iron Curtain<\/a><\/em>\u00a0in a German edition called\u00a0Zonenrandgebiet<\/a>. Westdeutschland und der Eiserne Vorhang<\/em>\u00a0with Ch. Links Publishers in Berlin. Over the course of the summer, Prof. Eckert was on a book tour in Germany and gave several interviews, including with the\u00a0Mitteldeutsche Rundfunk (MDR).<\/a>\u00a0She also recorded an episode for the Stasi Archive\u00a0podcast<\/a>\u00a0series. The book was reviewed in the leading German newspapers, for instance in the\u00a0S\u00fcddeutsche Zeitung<\/a>\u00a0and the\u00a0Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung<\/a>\u00a0as well as in\u00a0Deutschlandfunk<\/a>.
