The program supports U.S. citizens to develop foreign language and cultural fluencies through intensive summer training abroad. Lo, who is also minoring in quantitative social sciences, was among only four Emory students accepted for 2025. When the Chinese language program she was planning to attend at China&#8217;s\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/en.dlut.edu.cn\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Dalian University of Technology<\/a>\u00a0was cancelled, Lo pivoted to serve as an immigration intern with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.advancingjustice-aajc.org\/\">Asian Americans Advancing Justice<\/a> and conducted research with <a href=\"https:\/\/history.emory.edu\/people\/bios\/faculty-bios\/rodriguez-iliana-yamileth.html\">Dr. Yami Rodriguez<\/a>, Assistant Professor, and <a href=\"https:\/\/clscholarship.org\/\">Dr. Chris Suh<\/a>, Associate Professor.
