Social Media Graduate Assistant, Admissions Office

The Admissions Office within the Student Services organization is seeking a first year MPH or MSPH for the position of social media GA to support academic departments as they implement a social media plan and strategy. Candidates should feel comfortable with Twitter, Instragram, and Facebook and have the ability to represent the overall Rollins brand as well as individual department brands, which are unique. Prior experience in managing social media accounts is preferable, but not required.

The social media GA will share content from the main Rollins social media account to the different department accounts. The GA will also work closely with assigned academic departments to push out relevant content including upcoming events, relevant research publications, and other news from the department. The social media GA will be required to use his/her/their personal cell phone, which should be equipped with a camera. Generating compelling images to match content will be a key component of this position.

Development of content and imagery will include weekend and evening work. Some images may be accessed through Zoom events. The ideal candidate currently resides in the Emory vicinity and has completed the required spring on-boarding process for attending classes in person. The social media GA will visit campus on occasion to cover in-person classes or capture events such as Rollins Walks.

Requirements:

· Resident MPH or MSPH student

· Flexible schedule

· Detail-oriented

· Self-starter who is enthusiastic about building community at Rollins

· Weekly Zoom meetings to discuss upcoming content

· A responsible social media user who can work with discretion
