The Associate will provide technical support for field survey electronic data collection (EDC) including data management, cleaning, statistical analysis, and remote or in-person training and capacity building. \u00a0The successful candidate will have excellent data management skills and strong attention to detail. This individual will also have the ability to collaborate respectfully with multiple team members from diverse backgrounds. This position is ideally based in Washington, DC. Consideration will also be given for candidates interested in RTI\u2019s North Carolina headquarters. It will report to the Senior Epidemiologist.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><span style=\"font-family: Arial;font-size: medium\">Duties and Responsibilities:<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<p><b><span style=\"font-family: Arial;font-size: medium\">Electronic data collection platform management<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial;font-size: medium\">Prepare server for each survey event including uploading questionnaires, adding new users, and clearing out test data<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial;font-size: medium\">Modify Open Data Kit (ODK) questionnaires (XLS and XLM forms) as required for each country<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial;font-size: medium\">Act as liaison with in-country and HQ teams to plan and implement EDC portion of surveys<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial;font-size: medium\">Support country teams to set up mobile devices and troubleshoot data collection issues<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b><span style=\"font-family: Arial;font-size: medium\">Survey Data management<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial;font-size: medium\">Monitor data during times when surveys are in the field and issue feedback to countries promptly<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial;font-size: medium\">Create or update data monitoring, data cleaning, and analytical output scripts in STATA or R \u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial;font-size: medium\">Identify opportunities for data analysis and visual analytics to increase efficiency and effectiveness of survey activities both through online and offline tools including GIS software<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial;font-size: medium\">Continually improve database and interface by writing requirements, validating requirements, working with developers as needed, and testing new functionality<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial;font-size: medium\">Perform statistical analysis on individual and cross-country datasets for routine reporting and special requests<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b><span style=\"font-family: Arial;font-size: medium\">Information management and training<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial;font-size: medium\">Review protocols and reports to ensure that EDC and survey data management is described appropriately<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial;font-size: medium\">Create and maintain \u201cstandard\u201d questionnaires for typical surveys and track changes and versions through version control platform such as GitHub<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial;font-size: medium\">Contribute to the creation of training materials for EDC surveys including field training manuals, presentations, and other materials as needed<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial;font-size: medium\">Coordinate with Learning Specialist to identify and compile lessons learned based on field implementation of EDC<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial;font-size: medium\">Maintain a repository of protocols, questionnaires, and reports for all surveys<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial;font-size: medium\">Create and maintain a machine-readable database for tracking survey document information, results, and datasets for surveys<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial;font-size: medium\">Occasional travel to countries in Africa, the Caribbean, and South East Asia to support training in EDC and data management<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div class=\"job_qualifications\">\n<p><b><span style=\"font-family: Arial;font-size: medium\">Qualifications:<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial;font-size: medium\">Bachelor\u2019s degree experience in statistics, computer science, or a related field and 3 years of experience;
