Are you ready to be the next changemaker in cancer care?<\/p>\n<p><strong>What You&#8217;ll Do<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>As an intern, you will work as a member of the epidemiology and biostatistics track within the Research Sciences (RS) department. Some of the work that RS produces includes:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Real-world evidence studies to address critical research questions across clinical development, market access, and commercial use cases for our life sciences partners<\/li>\n<li>Validation analyses to characterize the quality of real-world datasets built using various curation approaches, including human review of patient charts and artificial intelligence\/machine learning (AI\/ML)<\/li>\n<li>External scientific publications to advance the oncology real-world evidence field<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Throughout the summer, you will:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Spend 12 weeks<\/strong> embedded in the epidemiology\/biostatistics track on the RS team with the Knowledge Management (KM) initiative, which is responsible for internally-facing technical resources that drive adoption of Flatiron Health methodology and best practices<\/li>\n<li>Develop an understanding of oncology real-world data (RWD) and methodologies used to generate real-world evidence and insights<\/li>\n<li>Whiteboard ideas with colleagues across RS and learn from cross-functional professionals (e.g., medical writers, regulatory strategists, health equity researchers)<\/li>\n<li>Under the guidance of an experienced RS mentor, execute and present on a project that supports the conduct of consistent, rigorous analyses of RWD, so that the RS team can deliver high-quality RWE solutions to clients<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In this <strong>hybrid role,<\/strong> you\u2019ll have a <strong>defined work location that includes work from home and 3 office days<\/strong> set by you and your team.
