Alter Ghana

The aim of this study is to examine the effectiveness of a culturally-adapted dementia education program originally designed for Black faith communities in the U.S. Specifically, this study will assess Ghanaian faith-based community members’ knowledge about and attitudes towards dementia following participation in the Faith Villages workshop.

Alter Ghana is in conjunction with Alzheimer’s Ghana, Emory University Nell Hodgson Woodruff School of Nursing, University of Georgia School of Social Work, and Kwame Nkrumah University of Science Technology Department of Medicine.
