Jon-Sesrie Goff will appear at Emory to screen his film After Sherman on Sunday, March 26th at 2 PM, in White Hall 103.
After Sherman is “an exploration of South Carolina’s history of racial trauma through the lens of Gullah culture and land preservation.”
In addition to his work as a filmmaker, Goff is part of the Creativity and Free Expression team at the Ford Foundation and makes grants globally in documentary film, new media, and visual storytelling for the foundation’s JustFilms program.
Goff will engage in a Q&A about the film with Film and Media Visiting Arts Fellow, Tamika Galanis.
This screening is presented by the Department of Film and Media. A light fare reception will follow the screening.
