Film and Media’s Professor Dehanza Rogers Awarded Grant for Arts-Based Youth Intervention Project

Film and Media Professor Dehanza Rogers in collaboration with Dr. Briana Woods-Jaeger in the Rollins School of Public Health will be exploring the potential of an arts-based approach to address racial trauma with grant funding from the William T. Grant Foundation. The project, Youth Empowered Advocating for Health (YEAH), is an intervention for youth that promotes participatory research, storytelling and the arts to promote social change, specifically critical consciousnesses, racial identity, radical hope, and emotional and social support to improve mental health outcomes for Black youth.
