Film and Media Presents The Aperture International Student Film Festival

Hard work pays off for students in “Creating A Film Festival”, a Spring 2025 course taught by Assistant Teaching Professor James Pellerito. The course provided students with a kinesthetic learning experience in the logistical and critical complexities of launching a film festival as they navigated the full process of creating a festival, from soliciting submissions to coordinating on-site event logistics.

On 4/15 at Atlanta’s Plaza Theatre, the class realizes its project: The Aperture International Student Film Festival Presented by Film and Media. Featuring a series of screenings and panel discussions, the festival celebrates short films made by students from around the world including animated films, dramas, comedies, and documentaries.
