Accessing PitchBook on and off campus

Accessing PitchBook’s requires all users to register or annually renew their account. If you see a red message saying your account is inactive, don’t worry, you won’t lose any of your saved lists or searches!

Error message or password reset loop? 

If you encounter a password reset loop are seeing an access error message, email support [at] pitchbook [dot] com with the subject “Emory University – Microsite issues” and they will reset your account.

Registering On Campus

  1. Go directly to https://emory.pitchbook.com
  2. Choose the Create an Account button on the PitchBook page. (see image 1 below)
  3. Register using your Emory.edu email  (If you  previously had an account, you will see a message that “an account already exists,” and that’s just fine)
  4. Check your email for a reset email from clientservices [at] pitchbook [dot] com.
  5. When you receive the email,  remove the EZproxy part of the link in that email: https://proxy.library.emory.edu/login?url=
  6. Follow the rest of that link to set your password
  7. Now that you’ve set up your account/password on campus, you should be able to access off campus via the Pitchbook database page link

Registering Off Campus

  1. Connect to Emory’s VPN proxy: https://vpnproxy.emory.edu
  2. Go directly to https://emory.pitchbook.com
  3. Choose the Create an Account button on the PitchBook page. (see image 1 below)
  4. Register using your Emory.edu email  (If you’ve previously had an account, you will see a message that “an account already exists,” that’s just fine)
  5. Check your email for a reset email from clientservices [at] pitchbook [dot] com.
  6. When you receive the email,  remove the EZproxy part of the link: https://proxy.library.emory.edu/login?url=
  7. Follow the rest of that link to set your password
  8. Now that you’ve reset your account/password on campus, you should be able to access off campus via the Pitchbook database page link
