I&#8217;ve preferred\u00a0 Macs since 1992, even during the dark days of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.macworld.com\/article\/1002940\/marketshare.html\">1999&#8217;s 3% market share<\/a>!<\/p>\n<p>First, if you\u2019re using Office365, you may want to try the free <a href=\"http:\/\/it.emory.edu\/studentdigitallife\/services\/office\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\">Excel for Mac option<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Unfortunately the commands and shortcuts on the Mac version do vary a bit from the PC version. Thus, if the PC version of Excel is what you need, consider installing\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.parallels.com\/products\/desktop\/\" target=\"_blank\">Parallels<\/a> or something similar on your Mac.<\/p>\n<p>Remember, the business library has several PCs available for you to use anytime the <a href=\"http:\/\/business.library.emory.edu\/about\/hours.html\" target=\"_blank\">library is open<\/a>.\u00a0\u00a0 We have the <a href=\"http:\/\/business.library.emory.edu\/research-learning\/databases\/thomson.php\" target=\"_blank\">Thomson add-in <\/a>and the<a href=\"http:\/\/business.library.emory.edu\/research-learning\/databases\/factset.php\" target=\"_blank\"> Factset add- in<\/a> installed on specific machines here as well.<\/p>\n<p>If you want to learn more tricks and tips in Excel, there are a variety of tutorials available via\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/business.library.emory.edu\/research-learning\/databases\/lynda.php\" target=\"_blank\">Lynda.com<\/a>.\u00a0 These multi-hour advanced tutorials include detailed tables of contents so you can target the specific training content you seek.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Your business librarian feels your pain!
