About Us

Heart Health United is a safe and engaging recreation soccer program promoting cardiovascular fitness through play and education. We offer fun soccer activities and online courses based on the American Heart Association’s Life’s Essential 8 for healthier living.

Research Team

Felipe Lobelo, MD, PhD, FAHA

Dr. Lobelo is the Principal Investigator for the Heart Health United study. He is an Associate Professor at the Hubert Department of Global Health at Emory University’s Rollins School of Public Health.

Jennifer K. Frediani PhD, RD

Dr. Frediani is a Co-Investigator for the Heart Health United study. She is an Assistant Professor at Nell Hodgson Woodruff School of Nursing at Emory University.

Elizabeth Rhodes, PhD, MS

Dr. Rhodes is a Co-Investigator for the Heart Health United study. She is an Assistant Professor at the Hubert Department of Global Health at Emory University’s Rollins School of Public Health.

Jordan Foster, MPH

Jordan is the the Research Administrative Coordinator for the Heart Health United study. She has a Master of Public Health, Health Management and Policy and a Graduate Certificate in Health Literacy from Georgia State University.

Stephanie Ponce, BA

Stephanie is a Graduate Research Assistant for the Heart Health United study. She is a Master of Public Health student ate the Emory University's Rollins School of Public Health in the Behavioral, Social, and Health Education Sciences department.

Jonny Reich

Jonny is an Undergraduate Research Assistant for the Heart Health United study. He is a student at Emory University's Goizueta Business School, concentrating in Strategy and Management Consulting and Marketing.
