Something that was brought to my attention throughout the film was the consistent use of CGI. Although the animals in this film looked very realistic, their actions and mannerisms as well as appearance made it obvious that CGI was used. However, I was very intrigued on how this process works. The video above shows the process of making one of these animal scenes. I never knew how this actually worked so it was very interesting to see what made up the movement of these CGI animals.
A lot of work goes into this process. In the article embedded above, the director explains that just small elements like making pipes move like snakes took over 10 days to prepare. The movie employed over 2000 VFX workers to take part in this film. This article also answers other questions involving cinematography and the overall process of making the film so I highly suggest you look at it.
After learning about CGI in RRR, I watched some more videos on this process to truly understand the difficulty and brilliance that goes into making these scenes.
