Canadian Feminist Alliance for International Action (FAFIA)
FAFIA is an alliance of over 40 Canadian women’s equality-seeking non-governmental organizations. THe organization’s website includes the 2000 Alternative Report on Canada (Canada’s Failed Commitment to the UN Platform for Action), Institutional Mechanisms for the Advancement of Women, research and reports -media, violence, human rights, trade.
Canadian Muslim Women’s Committee
The necessity to protect and respect the human rights of all citizens including Muslim Women is our main focus. It is also important to educate the society at large of the right of Muslim women to choose and practice their religious beliefs freely and to inform the members of the Muslim community of their rights as full citizens of this country.

Canadian Women for Women in Afghanistan
Based in Canada, the overall goals of the organization are: 1) to support the empowerment efforts of women in Afghanistan and the refugee camps in Pakistan, and 2) to raise awareness in Canada of the need to secure and protect human rights for Afghan women. Projects are funded mainly from individual donations from Canadians and with ‘in-kind’ support of sponsors such as Rights and Democracy in Montreal.
