My dissertation analyzes Confucian scholar and official training through examination records, using digital humanities tools to understand the Ming dynasty&#8217;s unique claim of legitimacy. With extensive knowledge of classical Chinese and 13 million words in my examination dataset, I am dedicated to advancing my understanding of the field through the use of digital humanities methods.
