Lara’s paper accepted for publication in Journal of Computational Chemistry

“Simulations of NaCl aggregation from solution: Solvent determines topography of free energy landscape” by Lara A. Patel and J. T. Kindt, has been accepted for publication in the Journal of Computational Chemistry.  The paper, which describes application of the PEACH method to the statistics of aggregation of small, amorphous sodium chloride clusters, sheds light on how solvent quality can determine whether the precipitation of salt crystals is limited by the rate of addition of monomers to a growing cluster or by the rate of ordering of an existing aggregate.  It will be published in a festschrift issue dedicated to the late Professor Keiji Morokuma, an eminent and valued colleague in the Department of Chemistry.
