I am a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Political Science at Emory University. My research focuses on the institutional and social bases of courts’ legitimacy. In my dissertation project, I explain how changes in the modern media industry have politicized news about the U.S. Supreme Court, creating the conditions necessary for the erosion of the Court’s institutional legitimacy.
I received my B.A. in Political Science and Public Policy in 2009 from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and my M.A. in Political Science from Emory University in 2014.
