Woodruff Library is a quiet hotbed of computing activity.

In conjunction with Rich Mendola‘s (OIT) recent appointment as Enterprise Chief Information Officer and Senior Vice Provost of Library Services and Digital Scholarship at Emory University, UTS Client Services has assumed responsibility of Desktop Support for the Library Staff.

“I am pleased and honored that UTS Client Services has been provided with the opportunity to take on this added responsibility. We look forward to providing the Library with our advanced tools and processes that will help streamline their Desktop Infrastructure,” stated Richard Fischer, Client Services Manager.

With this change, UTS Client Services has two new members joining the team, Brigitte Collier and Jack Scott (both of Enterprise Services), formerly reporting to Library IT. “We are excited to have Brigitte and Jack on our Team and look forward to their contributions, leveraging their existing knowledge and customer relationships in the Library.” These changes were effective on Monday, January 14th and Client Services has already begun the process of integrating the almost 400 Library computers into our support structure. You can learn more about Jack and Brigitte in the Meet the New Employees section of this month’s newsletter.
