Lushorn's thinking about her future jetcar!

Lushorn has joined the Integration team following a stint where she worked as a contractor in her current Emory role. Before coming to Emory, she worked for many years doing corporate accounting and IT support. She also has experience teaching mathematics and training faculty/staff on computer software. “My ideal working environment is technology where I can utilize my innovative skills,” says Lushorn. “I enjoy collaborating with team members and socializing with other departments.”

Lushorn received her bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from Spelman College and her Master of Science degree in Instructional Design & Technology from Walden University. She has a daughter who is currently a Clinical Psychology doctoral student at Jackson State University.

“Family is extremely important to me,” says Lushorn. “My daughter constantly tweets and Instagrams me from grad school to tell me she is too busy to talk!  Figure that out!” Lushorn was also inspired by Brett Coryell‘s “What Are You Waiting For?” article and would like to invent the Jetson’s automobile, so she can fly into work!
