Bernardo is familiar with OIT because he began his career at Emory in 1995 as a UTS employee in support of the Library systems. He moved over to the Library staff several years ago and now he is back in UTS again.
Before coming to Emory, Bernardo worked for 10 years as a programmer for the library at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
A native of Popayan, Colombia, Bernardo came to the US to earn a Master of Science degree in Computer Engineering at Case Western Reserve University. He received a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Cauca.
“It sounds like this larger organization will be able to provide and share resources across the divisions,” says Bernardo.
