As Director of Digital Programs and Systems, John has been at Emory for two years. Before working in the Library, John was at Morris Communications in Augusta, GA for seven years as the Director of Technical Operations, including network engineering systems and data center operations.
John also spent 12 years at Westinghouse-Savannah River as a systems engineer, with his last work being in data center operations.
A native of Baltimore, MD, he moved to Georgia because his wife, whom he met while studying Computer Engineering at Clemson University, loved the Deep South and has extended family here.
John loves music, especially live music shows. He also plays a lot of golf. John’s son is in the process of transferring from a tech school to Clemson and his daughter just graduated from high school.
“I am so intrigued by the plans for this new digital library,” says John. “This is just the beginning.”
