I recently told Susan Henschen (UIT) that it is never too late to celebrate baby announcements so join me in celebrating the birth of Spencer Ellis Henschen. Born on May 22, 2013, to Susan and her husband Josef, Spencer is their first child.
Born at Piedmont Hospital, Spencer was tiny – 6 lbs, 5 oz, but he has quickly made up for his small beginnings by measuring above 90% in every category since he was three months old.
Spencer is the great-grandson of the late Harold Henschen, School of Medicine (SOM) alumnus and former SOM clinical faculty. Spencer’s grandfather, Gary Henschen, was born at Emory Hospital.
