Kristian Serrano, Lead Web Developer, Library Core Systems

Kristian plans to bring consistency and strategy for web content and design.

Kristian Serrano has transitioned to the Library Core Systems team to be their Lead Web Developer in an effort to bring consistency and strategy for content and design among LITS Libraries’ web entities, while also addressing design and development needs for both the web sites and various system applications supported by the team. A significant portion of his work will also consist of working closely with the LITS communications team with respect to communications needs and content strategy.

Kristian first came to Emory in 2012 as a web developer in the old R-WIT group. Before Emory, Kristian worked for Georgia State, where he managed their web portal. Prior to that he was at the University of Florida in Continuing Education as a communications coordinator. While at Florida he also carried the title of “IT Expert”, where he performed student support, web development, and technical writing.

Kristian has a bachelor’s degree in public relations from the University of Florida. Born in New York, he grew up in Ft. Lauderdale and also spent many years living in Gainesville, FL. Married with two kids, Kristian’s favorite pastime is being a full-time dad!
