“Core Systems has a lot of upcoming projects that should be very interesting,” said Alex Cooper.

Alex Cooper has been promoted to Core Systems data analyst, reporting to Christopher Spalding. He will be working on databases such as EZProxy, Aleph, and Alma. Alex’s previous Emory experience was as an application support analyst. He has also been working as a graduate student in the Library Depository, where he performed cataloging of government documents and database management.

Alex received his Master of Philosophy degree from Emory and his bachelor’s degree in philosophy and German literature from the State University of New York at Stony Brook.

Born in Bath, NY, Alex has been in Georgia for 12 years. He is an avid Braves fan and reader of history.

“Core Systems has a lot of upcoming projects that should be very interesting,” said Alex. “There’s a lot of new ways of getting data that I am interested in exploring.”
