“Emory is one of the best universities in the country and everyone knows it.” – Felicia Fulks

Felicia Fulks joins the Woodruff Health Sciences Library staff as a life sciences informationist. Prior to coming to Emory, she spent over five years at California State University – Northridge as an instructional design librarian, business librarian and reference librarian. She also served a four-year stint as a business librarian for a public library in Portland, OR.

Raised in tiny Sparta, IL (where they filmed In the Heat of the Night), Felicia got her bachelor’s degree in journalism at Eastern Illinois University and her master’s degree in library and information science from San Jose State University.

Felicia loves walking with her pit bull named Minny and in August completed her cross-country drive from California to Georgia with Minnie as her driving companion. “Once we got to Oklahoma, the rest-stops were like parks, which we enjoyed.”

“I’ve never done life sciences as a librarian speciality so this is an exciting challenge for me,” said Felicia. “Emory is one of the best universities in the country and everyone knows it. It’s nice to be at such a fantastic university. Cal State-Northridge has over 40,000 students and I like the intimacy of Emory’s smaller student population.”
