“It’s exciting to be working with the School of Medicine because I always thought I would be in medicine.” – Debra Landrum

Debra Landrum joins LITS as a business analyst working on accounts in the School of Medicine. She came to Emory from the First Advantage Corporation (formerly ChoicePoint), where she spent fifteen years as a senior business analyst and senior software engineer. She also spent ten years as a systems analyst, software developer, and development team lead between two companies, Crawford & Company and American Software.

A native of Winston Salem, NC, Debra attended Western Carolina University, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in computer information systems. She started out as a medical technology major but switched when she realized as an internist that she didn’t like patient contact. Debra also has a Six Sigma Green Belt certification.

Debra is a hiking and camping enthusiast and also used to race sailboats on Lake Lanier. “I love to sail,” she said. Otherwise she says she is a workaholic.

“Emory is such a different environment from the corporate world,” said Debra. “It’s exciting to be working with the School of Medicine because I always thought I would be in medicine.”
