Windell Cochran, Manager, Project Management Office

Windell Cochran is a new manager in the Project Management Office (LITS). Prior to joining Emory, Windell was with SunTrust Bank for 10 years primarily in the Enterprise Project Management Office as a process manager. He also spent 14 years at The Home Depot, where he worked in both application development as a chief system engineer and as a senior project manager.

Born and raised in Atlanta, Windell earned a Bachelor’s in accounting and a Master’s in computer information systems from Georgia State University. Also, Windell has held his PMP (Project Management Professional) since 2001.

Windell lives in the Brookhaven area, where he enjoys home improvement projects and gardening. Additionally, he likes to stay active with running, hiking and other physical fitness.

“I’m very happy to find how helpful and informative my LITS teammates have been at sharing Emory’s history and various process information,” said Windell. “I look forward to continuing the collaboration with my LITS teammates and many others across the institution.”
