After years of development, Emory Point is now open and ready for business. Just a short walk down Clifton Road you can dine, shop, and even cure your ails. Designed starting in 2007 and breaking ground in 2011, this mixed-use retail and residential complex could become a regular destination for OIT staff.

According to Sandy Lewis, the Emory Point Retail Property Manager, the first residents arrived in August ’12 and the first retailer, Jos. A. Bank, opened its doors in October ’12. The retail complex is about 70% full and offers a great collection of both table-service and quick-dining restaurants, as well as an eclectic mix of national retailers and specialty boutiques.

The anchor tenant is a CVS drugstore, which opened just last week and stays open 24-hours a day. This weekend the General Muir, a New York Jewish-style deli, and Jazmin Spa, a manicure/pedicure day spa, both open for the first time.

With over 80,000 square feet of retail space, other tenants include American Threads, Bonefish Grill, Carriage Cleaners, Fab’rik, Fresh To Order, La Tagliatella, Lizard Thicket, Loft, Marlow’s Tavern, Paradise Biryani Pointe, Solar Dimensions, Strippaggio, Sweet Monkey Frozen Yogurt, Tin Lizzy’s, and Which Wich?

Parking is not a problem at Emory Point, as there is an 8-story parking deck in the middle of the facility that is free in two-hour increments during the day and in three-hour increments after 5:00 p.m. Stay any longer and you will have to pay to park!

The next phase of the project begins in about six months, when the old Emory Inn will be torn down and a continuation of Emory Point, with retail on the bottom floor and apartments above, will begin construction.
