A new Emory Corporate Card just in time for Spring.

In response to Emory traveler feedback to improve the acceptance of the Corporate Card, Emory has introduced new Visa Corporate Cards to replace the American Express Cards (AMEX). Emory’s Visa Corporate Card is now the preferred payment method for local business expenses and travel-related charges, such as hotel, airfare, and rental car costs. Our policies and processes have also been enhanced and simplified to make using the card and expense reporting easier for faculty and staff.

The application for the Visa Corporate Card is now live. The Visa Corporate Card is replacing the AMEX.  All current AMEX corporate cardholders must re-apply for the new Visa Corporate Card.

Individual Corporate Cards are not linked to a default SmartKey. The accounting is specified in the Compass T&E Expense Reporting tool. Each charge must be assigned to an expense report so that that it can be reimbursed directly to Visa. Corporate Card activity reporting (not accounting) will be primarily managed through PaymentNet, JP Morgan Chase’s on-line account management system. If you need to access PaymentNet to review Corporate Card transactions for cardholder accounts that you manage and have not received a login, password and organizational ID from PaymentNet, please contact credit [dot] cards [at] emory [dot] edu. Please note that the Organization ID for PaymentNet is “emucard“.

Some of the Benefits of the Corporate Card

  • Detailed receipts are not required for most purchases under $75 on the Corporate Card – detailed receipts are always required for airfare, hotel and rental car expenses even if under $75
  • No Missing or Lost Receipt affidavits are needed – less paperwork and hassle
  • Expense report completion is quicker, as Corporate Card purchases do not require manual data entry and can be transferred from My Wallet
